Why You Should Recycle To Save The Environment

There are many reasons as to why you should recycle to save the environment, but if you want to recycle it’s very important to understand why recycling is such a big part in saving our planet. By recycling paper, plastic or other materials you extend the usefulness of a material that by some is thought to be no longer useful. It may have served the purpose it was originally intended for, but it can also be used to produce other items. This helps explain it more. Almost everything we use on a daily basis is recyclable and although it benefits humans, the most important fact to consider when recycling is that it saves our planet. Recycling saves the earth because it reduces energy, reduces global warming and above all reduces pollutions emitted in the air that may affect our ozone layer. An example of how recycling saves the environment is by taking a look at paper and how it is made. Paper is made from trees and trees give us the oxygen we need to live as humans. Recycling paper will not only keep the earth populated with trees, but will save on energy consumption. It takes less energy to re-create paper, than it does to create paper from a freshly cut tree. By saving energy through industrial production, we also reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These are gases that are released into the air; causing air pollution and deplete the ozone layer. In the end, not only does recycling save the environment, but it saves humans; keeping us in good health and alive for years to come because we have a healthy planet to thrive on.
